About FSC & SFI
(Forest Stewardship Council and Sustainable Forest Initiative)
Select Printing is in the process of applying for a certification in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and with the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) Chain of Custody Standards.
Operations that are verified for FSC chain of custody certification are eligible to label their products with the FSC logo.
FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.
It provides standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies and organizations interested in responsible forestry.
Over the past 13 years, over 90 million hectares in more than 70 countries have been certified according to FSC standards while several thousand products are produced using FSC-certified wood and carrying the FSC trademark. FSC operates through its network of National Initiatives in 45 countries.
Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. FSC has offices in more than 45 countries.
FSC brings people together to promote responsible forest management and to find solutions to the problems created by bad forestry practices.
FSC does so in providing standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services and market access for companies and organizations interested in responsible forestry.

At Select printing we educate our staff, suppliers and customers about our commitment to the environment and promote awareness and accountability on environmental issues. We want to ensure that our environmental policies reflect the latest information and affords opportunities for us to exercise leadership in the development of environmental standards.
On Recycling Education
Select Printing and Copying cares about our forests and the paper products made from our forests. It is our commitment – and our challenge – to promote sustainable forestry and recycling in order to meet the needs of today without compromising the ability to meet the needs of future generations.
We encourage our customers and the public to recycle paper. Paper products are highly recyclable, and we recognize that recovered paper is an important raw material supply for the paper industry. Toward this end we recycle all of our paper waste, returned unused copies from our customers and also purchase our papers from FSC certified facilities.
